Government Contracting
Chrome Electrics extensive experience as Prime
Electrical contractor means we understand all the
accompanying complexities and intricacies within federal
projects. Our long history working with government as a
Prime IDIQ Contractor and as a Subcontractor means our
office and employees are familiar with required contract
liens, certified payroll, safety requirement and procedures.
This work with the government has lead to some of the
most difficult technical and scheduling projects requiring
innovative project management, and a dedicated skilled
workforce that isn't seen in other industries.
Our base projects normally consist of basic
Commercial/Industrial Electrical, Substation and 15kv
underground and overhead utilities, main switch gear
renovations, low voltage and fire alarm controls, and
lightning protection. Chrome Electric has preformed
contracts from major launch pad renovations to replacing
underwater aquatic cables. Basic projects with the
government range from $5,000 to $18,000,000.
Chrome Electric has been presented with several awards by
NASA for achieving success on high profile and time
sensitive projects. Recently, Chrome Electric was selected
by NASA and Square "D" to perform a major emergence switch
gear replacement for OPF (Orbiter Processing Facility).
Chrome was entrusted to replace (two) 40' long Main Switch
gear units that power the facilities while housing two Space
Shuttles. Chrome was able to replace both units within a two
week time period while maintaining and providing generator
power that supported the shuttles. NASA stated that Chrome
Electric was the first outside contractor to perform such a
critical operation that directly impacts a flight vehicle.
Chrome Electric has performed work at Kennedy Space
Center, CCAF, Patrick AFB, Eglin AFB, Pope AFB, NAS
Jacksonville, Fort Brag, Vandenberg AFB Ca, Roosevelt Roads
Naval Station Puerto Rico, Key West Navel Station, Mayport
Navel Station, and Andros Navel Station along with Island
stations in the Caribbean and others.
Health Care
Over the years Chrome Electric has grown its health care
portfolio from small medical equipment installation to
building new hospitals. With the ever changing environment
of life safety and AHCA (Agency for Health Care
Administration) requirements it is critical to be informed
and have the experience to pass those inspections. To date;
Chrome Electric has had a near perfect AHCA inspection
success rate.
These projects demand that a contractor has the
understanding and capability of properly managing the
difficult nature and aggressive scheduling these projects
are known for. These projects also require intense knowledge
when bidding an already completely designed or under a
design bid format.
Chrome Electric understands and has always met these
demands from the bidding process, project management to
manpower for a successful completion.
